Patience was created during a period of profound loss. Over the course of four months, I lost four loved ones. Unable to bare that grief, she became a place for me to hold it — quietly and honestly.
Patience is an expression of grace given to oneself while healing. In the process of sculpting her, I noticed a constant impulse to move faster, to reach the finished form. Each time that urge appeared, it became a reminder to slow down, to stay present, and allow the work to unfold at its own pace. 
This sculpture carries that energy into a space. It doesn’t rush the viewer. It offers steadiness, quiet strength, and permission to move through time with grace. What it holds will continue to evolve with the person living alongside it.
